Thesis projects in the fields of Surveying, Geodesy, Geoinformatics, or Geomatics

(m/f/d) for 3D Data Acquisition and Spatial Data Analysis

We want you on our team!

What you'll be doing with us

You will generate, process, and analyze high-precision 3D measurement data, with a focus on point clouds and meshes. Validation and quality assurance of the survey data will be your responsibility, driven by a high standard for precision. Utilizing your technical expertise, you will analyze and evaluate three-dimensional geospatial data. Working alongside our team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of our mobile mapping and measurement systems. You will systematically optimize existing data acquisition workflows – specifically in the areas of laser scanning and photogrammetry. Additionally, you will play an active role in R&D projects. If you are passionate about cutting-edge technologies, you can also collaborate on projects involving AI, machine learning, and computer vision, or develop your own innovative approaches.

What you bring to the table

  • A degree in Surveying, Geodesy, Geoinformatics, or a comparable engineering/technical discipline

  • Solid practical knowledge in laser scanning, photogrammetry, and point cloud processing

  • A structured, independent way of working coupled with strong analytical thinking skills

  • Great team spirit, a drive for innovation, and an interest in modern technological developments

  • Very good written and spoken German skills

Ideally, you also have experience in

  • kinematic laser scanning

  • working with industry-standard software, e.g.:
    - Leica 3DR
    - Agisoft Metashape or Pix4D
    - Inertial Explorer (as a plus)
